Engine maintenance

First I tell you we bring the engine each year to the dealer for fresh oil and sparkplugs, hook him up on the computer and see if all is oké. Change the water filter in the petrol line for a new one and check the electrics. We do some things ourselves like greasing all grease nipples the steering wheel and take the propeller off to see if there is no line tangled. Repaint warn off paint on the emginetail and check the propeller for damages.

Tip in this: Never tank Shell V-power or equivalent from other brands if you have been using your carburetor engine for some time on ordinary petrol. All the dirt will get loose and your engine will need a big cleanup by your dealer, we had big problems like overflowing carburetor ( very dangerous for fire ) and it needed a very expensive repair. Of course this happened at sea and it will overcome you on a bad moment as well.

Best regards
