Welkom at the internet site of the Baitrebels Almere Netherlands.
This is a short version of the introduction so you know who we are and what we do. Sorry for my grammatical it's properly very bad.
Our club was founded in 1997 because we were not happy with our fishing club at that time because they were only interested in course fishing and we wanted more pike and walleye. Therefore we decided to make our own club. The starter ( Bert ) had a goal in his mind and that was fishing in a different diversity of waters. Also it is safer on the water and you can help one another in case of a break down on the way or on the water. Of course its good to be on the water with friends and you can make nicer pictures when someone catches a big fish.
Soon we where making a small book to tell the members about our fishing adventures and after a year or so we introduced this site. Because members are scattered all over the Netherlands, we help to make sure all permits are well and to provide in an spot for some dinner and a drink after fishing or a place to stay like an camping side . Again who knows hotspots better the the locals? Sometimes ( 1 x year ) we fish an competition as we do in Groningen or Almere.
We now are a small group fisherman who like to fish for pike, walleye, cod, sea bass, trout and so on as long as the fish is a predator. We do this in various ways like trolling, drop shot, vertical, casting, with a float etc. Normally from a boat. About our fishing trips we make a short report for our site mostly with some photo’s . If you can't read Dutch, I hope you still enjoy our photo's and where I can, I will try to make a short translation.
Our goal is to get more variation in those waters we are fishing in and use the knowledge of our local member from the club so we know were to launch the boat, were we can get a nice meal or place to stay. Also it's very important you have the right permits and regulations for the waters we go to and who knows better then the local. Sometimes we go to a foreign country in Europe to aim for different species of fish and/or a better chance to catch fish in general. Some members of the club went to Denmark, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Sweden, France, Italy and even Cuba and Mexico. Not as a group but for a holiday, except the Denmark trips, they were made as a Baitrebel group.
This was a short translation, hope it went well.
Best regards Bert
